Extra Curricular is looking for talented boys and girls who take photographs in their spare time to feature in the upcoming August issue - does anyone know of any?
(Photo by Miss Sonya Nagels who featured in Issue One).

  2. if you'll allow me to toot my own trumpet for a moment: I take photographs. :) I'm by no means a professional, but it's a hobby I adore, and my camera has become almost like an extension of my body, haha.

    I'm not sure what kind of pictures you're after, but if interested, my flickr account containing around 3,000 of my shots can be found here:

    and there's also always a recent selection on my blog here:

  7. Is this people to feature, or images to feature? Is there a theme that you are looking to illustrate? I wasn't quite sure from this post. Wondering how you are going to filter this as I suspect that *everyone* knows lots of people who make images in their spare time ;-)

  8. Yes, I am sorry for not being more specific! Thought I'd see what turned up... I meant people to feature (interview + showcase their work) - who take photographs outside of their normal job - and are passionate about it. Looking for work that isn't too commercial-looking and that offers something a little bit different.

    Thanks everyone for the suggestions!

    I do only have a certain amount of space so unfortunately can't fit in everyone... still working out exactly how much I can squeeze in & whether there's room for a showcase, so sorry for the slow replies.

  9. What kind of photographs are you after Ellie? I have a myriad of images on stand by from many days wandering the streets with my rolleiflex...

  10. My boyfriend works as an animator but is a real photography enthusiast outside of work, his photos are really unique as he doesn't always use his digital SLR but is really into lomo photography (lomography?) and has a great collection of old box brownies, a diana camera, a half-frame camera and a few other analogs so the photos are always original.
    He plays around with old slide film and cross-processes them to get some great effects, as well as having his own negative scanner to play with them on the computer- I think he'd be a great candidate for your piece because he's very creative and just learns things by experimenting!

    He's currently updating his website but I'll post it here anyway as it has links to his flicker account etc and you can take a look at his stuff- and it's far more impressive in print!

  11. I would love to.
    I mean, I don't have a website up and running and I'm not professional, but taking pictures in my free-time is definitely a passion of mine. I've heard many good things about my photography, apparently I'm a natural. Haha. If you'd like to see some of my work, feel free to e-mail me. I'll contact you back asap;

    Thanks and good luck!

  13. Hi, sorry this is completely unrelated to photography but i couldn't find a better way to contact the 'Extra Curricular' headquarters.

    I LOVE the look of your magazine and would really like to purchase the first three issues. However, I live in Brisbane and have looked online at Nook who appear to have sold out! Is there any other more direct way of purchasing?
